Hello !
Last year, I got contacted from MaLet's Cafe, the specialty coffee shop in Bangkok, Thailand. The cafe owners wanted me to re-design their coffee bags, the only initial brief from them is - Just do it in my style.

Shortly after getting the brief for re-designing the coffee bags. I brainstormed with myself and I thought this would be a good idea. I told the cafe owners that I want to illustrate the coffee growers from different regions since coffee package these days in the market are beautiful but mostly designed for urban people. I thought that it will be a good idea to bring the scenery of coffee plantation regions and people who grow it and put them into the design so it would be a kind of story telling from the coffee growers - they should be portrayed in the design.

So I started to make a small research of coffee origins that can match their coffee beans.
I divided the design in 4 parts by the coffee beans original regions :
1.) North of Thailand / Laos / Myanmar
2.) Indonesia
3.) Central / South America
4.) Africa
I really want to share the process of making this project since it is fun to work on it.

Here, the initial sketches to see how the mood and tones will be.
I want the design to looks cosy and friendly.
Plus, the character design sketches - the coffee growers from different regions.
The sketches of 4 different regions.
But the client feedback was that they wanted me to add more of my styles and portrayed more of the regions elements.

I'm very happy to share the process of this project.
My intention is to add the diversity in my works including the minor groups of people who grow coffee beans in the mountain up north of Thailand, I'm glad to illustrate different races of people in my works :)
Hope you guys enjoy!
Feel free to share it with giving proper credit :)
